St Peters School of Nursing - FT 10 months
Learning Lab Clinical Course Chair:
The Learning Lab/Clinical Course Chair (LLCCC) is a full-time faculty member responsible for developing and implementing teaching/learning activities for nursing students to facilitate their success in this program. The LLCCC works collaboratively with other members of the faculty and the director to analyze learning needs and define expected outcomes according to professional nursing standards. The LLCCC participates in the development, evaluation, and revision of curriculum; creates and implements psychomotor learning activities including simulations; and acts as a resource to students to enhance their study and test taking skills, one-on-one practice and remediation, with a particular focus on high risk students. The LRC creates an atmosphere in the skills lab that supports learners' achievement of defined graduate outcomes.The LLCCC exercises continuous discretion and judgment with respect to contemporary curriculum development, development and evaluation of the teaching of psychomotor skills, and the evaluation of student achievement. The LLCCC works in collaboration with the class course chair to take the lead in didatic teaching of lab, simulation, and validations.
EDUCATION Requirement:
+ Master's degree in nursing and current NYS registered nurse license.
EXPERIENCE Requirement:
+ Minimum of five years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
+ Experience in nursing education, particularly simulation learning, strongly preferred.
+ Must possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice, and must be an expert in basic nursing practice.
+ Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Computer literacy required.
+ Must have the ability to meet the challenges of working with adult learners of diverse backgrounds and diverse learning styles.
Salary range: $31.50hr -$41.40hr
