    Job Description

    The Wealth Planning and Insurance Strategist (WPIS) is responsible for working with the Wealth Management Advisor to develop and bring new client relationships starting at $3MM+ net worth into Private Wealth Management, help with client discovery and work with wealth management specialists to deepen and broaden relationships with existing clients. The WPIS will serve as a subject matter expert in financial planning, insurance products, (working closely with our Financial Advisors), estate and income tax planning, multigenerational wealth planning, business succession planning, family governance, and trust and fiduciary advisory, with a special focus on Risk Management. The WPIS will have an independent ability to provide solutions for the client's financial status using the most advanced tax, wealth transfer, business structure and protection strategies, and will help implement these strategies working with the client's external and internal advisors. The Risk Management focus of the role involves analysis and mitigation of a broad spectrum of financial and personal risks that a family of wealth will face including: estate liquidity, creditor (asset protection), personal security, property and casualty loss, reputation, lifestyle protection, employment practices, and insurance needs assessment.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

     

    - 10 or more years of financial planning experience with HNW/UHNW clients

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    - Insurance consultation and planning experience, including overseeing a wealth plan from engagement to implementation

     

    - Demonstrated new business development and client acquisition success

     

    - Strong understanding of complex financials, trust and estate documents and tax returns

     

    - Specialized asset protection and legal knowledge preferred

     

    - Ability to articulate complex planning concepts to clients in a simple and easily understandable manner

     

    - Demonstrated strong presentation and public speaking skills

     

    - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

     

    - JD, CPA or other similar advanced degree or designation strongly preferred

     

    - Related insurance and securities licenses

    Location:

    The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
