    SUMMARY

    In this role you will become the primary point of contact for vehicle advertising and play a key role in leading strategic and creative decisions across departments. You'll manage the planning, production, deployment, integration, and communication processes throughout the full lifecycle of vehicle launches. Key collaborators include the National Advertising, Launch, Digital, Field, Product Management, Social, and Corporate Communications teams and advertising agencies. Serves as the point person with the advertising agencies to keep the job on task regarding strategy and deliverables, time, scope, and budget with respect to all areas' financial commitments. This position also manages the daily approvals and feedback of all vehicle content, content strategy, planning, and development.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Vehicle Video and Imagery

     

    + Identifies and plans all vehicle creative needs, including reveal and launch photography, running footage, lifestyle imagery, all wheel drive (AWD)/weather-specific content, special edition/series photography, and computer-generated imagery (CGI) assets.

    + Manages vehicle content needs across agency partners, ensuring that all creative assets are aligned with strategy, delivered on time and budget, and deployed on appropriate platforms.

    + Oversees the production of consumer-facing vehicle content, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and cost efficiencies.

    + Coordinates with internal teams to establish deadlines and approval processes for vehicle launch campaigns. Supports Advertising Production Specialist on selecting hero imagery and respective messaging on Subaru.com for each vehicle reveal and model load.

     

    Vehicle Technology and Engineering Content

     

    + In partnership with the Associate Director, plans and manages consumer-facing content for vehicle technologies such as EyeSight, infotainment, walkarounds, competitive comparisons, safety, and engineering.

     

    Retailer Wallet Materials

     

    + Manages the vehicle retailer wallet program to ensure that retailers have access to appropriate vehicle advertising assets that align to vehicle launch timing.

    + Provides strategic and creative direction to and collaborates with creative agencies to develop and deliver materials aligned with Subaru.com model load timing.

     

    Retailer Brochure Program

     

    + Co-manages the vehicle brochure program and retailer recoveries with the Advertising Production Specialist – Vehicle Content. Manages the Specialist's work and makes strategic, higher-level and budgetary decisions regarding this operational area.

     

    Advertising Car Preparation and Fleet Vendor Management

     

    + Oversees the advertising vehicle fleet and vendor operations, including vehicle procurement, parts sourcing, painting, and retrofitting. Maintains responsibility for problem-solving and escalated issues as well as ensuring that operations go as planned.

    + Coordinates with Product Management, Marketing, and Subaru Corporation (SBR) on model year changes and their impact on creative assets.

    + Communicates year-over-year product changes and determines next steps for affected creative.

    + Manages transportation and pre-production vehicle budgets within the Advertising Production Budget.

     

    Internal Approval Process

     

    + Leads the internal approval process for vehicle content at the manager level, escalating to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing, VPs of Sales, and Chief Operating Officer (COO)/President as needed (e.g., for auto show content).

     

    Advertising Productions

     

    + Attends and oversees advertising productions, especially embargoed shoots, to ensure brand and strategy alignment.

     

    Budget Management

     

    + Maintains and manages the Merchandising Budget. Supports annual forecasting, tracking, and accruals for the Advertising Production Budget.

    + Proactively identifies and resolves issues that may impact scope, timing, or budget.

    + Opportunistic Content ◦ Collaborates with internal teams and digital platforms teams to identify content opportunities using data insights.

     

    Real-Time Engine (RTE) Program

     

    + Manages the RTE program executed by partner Designory, including asset creation for all carlines.

    + Leads the RTE Monetization program as needed, developing strategies to offset program investment costs.

    + Supports Designory in all computer aided design (CAD) data requests to SBR. Continuously streamlines overall CAD to RTE process.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Coordinates cross-functional meetings with agencies and marketing partners.

    + Manages the relationship with The Designory, Inc. and oversees related projects.

    + Handles all documentation for vehicle content needs, including briefs, campaign documents, calendars, and estimates.

    + Owns the Vehicle Content Capture process and ensurse compliance.

    + Supports continuous improvement in content research, analytics, and reporting.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor's Degree required

    + At least 8-10 years of experience in advertising production, marketing, or a related field required

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.

    + Proven ability to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to be responsive and flexible to evolving responsibilities and industry conditions.

    + Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.

    + Ability to motivate agencies, partners, and direct reports.

    + Intuitive and proactive in supporting marketing priorities.

    + Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills aligned with the Subaru Love Promise.

    + Budget management skills.

    WORK ENVIORNMENT

    + Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

    + Travel: 40% (International & Domestic)

     

    COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $114800 - $155000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2)
