Primary Function

Designs, implements, and monitors a variety of human resource programs. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management. This position will be working across a broad scope of client groups including two remote distribution centers and our non-manufacturing side of the business providing support to salaried exempt, salaried non-exempt, and hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

+ Assisting in prescreening candidates, assisting interviewing candidates, and working with hiring managers to set up onboarding schedule.

+ Attending job fairs and recruitment events.

+ Serve as a resource and advocate for employee questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs.

+ Coach front-line supervisors through employee relations and performance management issues. Issue corrective actions as needed up to 2nd written warning level.

+ Ensuring the company complies with labor laws and following HR policies.

+ Administer and conduct employee alert line investigations.

+ Track data and/or consolidate responses as requested and follow-up with others as needed to obtain information and identify insights.

+ Coaching conversations with supervisors in order to meet goals of development and career conversation metrics.

+ Facilitate and coordinate special HR projects and initiatives under the direction of the HR Manager

+ Supervisory responsibility over 2 direct reports.

+ Serves as a resource and advocate for employee questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs.

+ Partners with site functional teams to foster a culture of mutual trust and respect, maintaining the site's positive culture.

+ Proactively addresses any potential issues, involving the appropriate stakeholders and driving issues to closure.

+ Perform other activities as needed or as directed.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field

+ 5 years of related work experience

+ 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor message based on audience

+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook

+ Ability to build strong relationships and achieve results working with others

+ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to stay on top of daily issues and move projects forward in parallel

Additional Qualifications:

+ PHR and /or SPHR certification preferred

+ Proficiency with HR Systems (Employee Central, Success Factors, SAP, Kronos/UKG preferred).
