Description
A well-established company in Owensboro is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses heavily on payroll support, union compliance, and administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review timecards for accuracy and compliance with union agreements in partnership with Trade Managers, Project Managers, and Special Project Managers
+ Verify local union information and classifications within the HRIS system
+ Assist with onboarding processes and perform accurate data entry for new hires
+ Maintain and update a weekly payroll issues log, coordinating with branch and corporate payroll
+ Update and manage confidential payroll records in accordance with company policies and employment laws
+ Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
Previous administrative experience, preferably in payroll, HR, or union-related settings
High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
