The Interventional Radiology Technologist works under the general supervision for the Interventional Radiologist, assisting with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures following given protocols.

* Assists the interventional radiologist in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.

* Correctly and accurately utilizes the RIS, ORM and/or PACS to access patient information, enter charges, complete examinations, and documents services as required

* Utilizes proper body mechanics in all contacts. Assists team members in patient positioning and transport. Assists with room preparation to facilitate patient turnover.

*Minimum Education*

• Graduate from an Accredited Program in one or more medical imaging modalities as described below.

*Minimum Work Experience*

Required: 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Preferred: 1 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.

*Required Skills*

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
