Description Robert Half is working with a leading organization in Anaheim to identify a Network Security Administrator with a strong background in Windows environments and Cisco-based network infrastructure. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to join a growing IT team focused on advancing enterprise security strategy while maintaining and improving existing protections.

Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage cybersecurity measures to protect systems, networks, and data Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and respond to threats in real-time Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits across Windows servers, endpoints, and Cisco network hardware Configure and maintain firewall rules, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions (Cisco ASA, AnyConnect, etc.) Lead incident response activities and post-event forensic investigations Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure security is embedded into daily operations Maintain and support tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Cisco Umbrella, and Active Directory security policies Support security awareness and training efforts across the organization Stay current with evolving cyber threats, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices Requirements Requirements: 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or system security engineering Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments (Group Policy, patch management, AD hardening) Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies including switches, routers, and firewalls (ASA, Firepower preferred) Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and endpoint detection tools Experience with vulnerability management tools (Nessus, Qualys, etc.) Working knowledge of identity management and access control principles Ability to assess and respond to security incidents quickly and effectively Relevant certifications strongly preferred: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or Cisco CyberOps Associate Nice to Have: PowerShell or scripting experience for automation Exposure to cloud security (Azure AD, Microsoft 365 security controls) Experience with NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001 frameworks Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days onsite) based in Anaheim, CA Collaborative, mid-sized IT team Cisco and Microsoft-focused tech stack Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
