    Description

    We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Rochester, Michigan. This role involves working the midnight shift after completing an extensive five-week daytime training program. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and intake processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires rotation between two campuses and includes weekend and holiday shifts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Register patients for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

    • Guide patients through the use of available technology during the registration process.

    • Maintain precise and timely data entry to support accurate records and billing.

    • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.

    • Collaborate with team members to meet department needs, including rotating shifts and locations.

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including COVID-19 and flu vaccination mandates.

    • Assist in additional administrative or operational tasks as needed to support the department.

    • Adapt to a fluctuating schedule, including occasional weekday shifts and holiday rotations.

     

    Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in a related role; healthcare experience is a plus.

     

    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse patient interactions.

    • High level of reliability and commitment to the responsibilities of the role.

    • Proficiency in accurate and efficient data entry.

    • Ability to work the midnight shift following a five-week daytime training period.

    • Flexibility to work at multiple locations and adapt to changing schedules.

    • Compliance with vaccination and occupational health screening requirements.
