Job Overview

Build upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems. Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet the customer's special requirements.

A Day In The Life

+ Primary: Manufacture upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems:

+ assemble components used to make sub-assemblies;

+ install panels upper level sub-assemblies;

+ assemble access panels;

+ perform detailed wiring.

+ Secondary: Fabricate and/or modify products:

+ page/party stations;

+ printed circuit boards;

+ cable assemblies;

+ wiring harnesses;

+ wire wrap boards;

+ relay panels;

+ cabinet sub-assemblies;

+ cabinet assembly.

+ Correct problems arising during fabrication and/or final testing of equipment.

+ Lay out and fabricate custom metal work.

+ Provide support/training to Technicians I, as needed.

+ Review all documentation for potential errors and omissions.

What will help you thrive in this role?

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Five plus years of assembly experience and ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings, wire lists and wiring diagrams.

+ GAI-Tronics product knowledge helpful.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift 35 lbs. ;

+ Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
