About us:
Munich Airport NJ LLC, a 100% subsidiary of Munich Airport US Holding LLC, is responsible for terminal operations, facility maintenance and the management of the commercial program at the new Terminal A at EWR. The new Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is a modern, state-of-the art terminal which opened to commercial passenger traffic on Jan 12, 2023. The Terminal has a design capacity of approx. 14 million annual passengers and 33 common-use gates, providing generous space for a smooth journey through the building, from curbside to for check-in, security, gate holdrooms and baggage claim. The retail and food and beverage features local, national and international brands. Terminal A is the state’s largest design-build project, expected to generate more than $4.6 billion in regional economic activity, create more than 23,000 job years and provide more than $1.9 billion in wages

Munich Airport New Jersey LLC (MANJ) is an US-based subsidiary of the German Airport Operator Munich Airport. MANJ is responsible for the operations, maintenance and concession management at Terminal A (NTA) at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
We are seeking a motivated Intern to support our IT Department management team at EWR NTA. The successful candidate will assist in the logistics, maintenance, and technical operation of IT systems and networks within the airport terminal. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support within a dynamic airport environment.

Airport IT Intern Your Future Responsibilities
+ Assist the IT Department with organizing work, equipment, and logistics within the airport terminal.
+ Support the processing of arriving parts through the loading dock and ensure delivery to proper areas within the terminal.
+ Help with warranty actions, including submitting RMAs, shipping, and receiving replacement equipment.
+ Provide general IT level 1 support for hardware and software incidents.
+ Perform in-person troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of various Airport IT systems and problems for end-users.
+ Assist with testing and deployment of hardware and software solutions.
+ Help manage IT assets and conduct inventory verifications.
+ Follow internal processes for handling IT issues, status, and resolutions using the ITSM ticketing system.
+ Collaborate with vendors, team members, and stakeholders to resolve general customer issues.
+ Seek ways to increase the quality of customer service.
+ Support the IT department’s management team with other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
+ Perform general PC technician duties, including setting up, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop computers, installing software, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
+ Assist with network troubleshooting and basic network configuration tasks.
Your Education & Training
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or professional training/certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA A+, other) or equivalent work experience.
+ Basic knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
+ Experience or interest in working in an airport environment is a plus.
Your Skills & Experience
+ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, able to establish relationships with various stakeholders throughout the terminal.
+ Basic knowledge of PC and general IT operations and technology.
+ Familiarity with MS Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Project).
+ Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
+ Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
+ Positive and energetic attitude with a hands-on mentality.
+ Ability to work without direct supervision, taking responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks.
+ Ability to work in a team-driven environment.
