Sr. Java FSE – Onsite.

About the role

As a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. With a focus on Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Java 8 or higher, J2EE, AWS, and Angular, you will contribute to innovative solutions that drive business success. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with other stakeholders and teams.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain scalable software applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and Angular to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AWS cloud-based solutions that enhance system performance.

• Show good collaboration and communication skills.

• Show ability to diagnose prod issues and defects.

What you need to have to be considered:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth system operations.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software solutions.

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation to support software applications and processes.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

• Ensure software applications are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

• Optimize application performance and scalability through effective coding practices and system architecture.

These will help you stand out:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• 7+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 8 or higher.

• Experience with java development and aware of java patterns.

• Experience in Spring Boot and Microservices uses for development.

• Experience of development project and developed functionalities using Java, J2EE.

• Experience in NodeJS, Angular (preferable), HTML, and CSS to design/develop rich and responsive user interfaces.

• AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, AWS Cloud watch etc.)

• Experience on AWS deployed application.

• Agile/scrum development experience.

• Good collaboration and communication skills.

• Ready to learn new technologies and perform POC on it.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
