    Your Role at KIK

     

    The Human Resources Generalist supports both the Transportation and Warehouse teams by providing comprehensive HR support across multiple locations. This role is responsible for employee relations, compliance, training coordination, performance management, and recruitment efforts. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with operational leadership and corporate HR partners to drive employee engagement and ensure alignment with company policies and business objectives. This position requires weekly on-site presence to maintain strong relationships with employees and leaders.

     

    This individual will split their time between two locations, working two days per week in Lawrenceville and two days per week in Conyers.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    + Provides guidance, best practices, and drives efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of human resources, including recruiting, compensation, talent management (e.g., training, succession planning), analytics, and administrative (e.g., payroll/benefits) programs

    + Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition for staffing needs and interview coordination. May manage the recruitment and selection process as needed.

    + Manage onboarding and orientation activities to ensure a positive new hire experience and successful integration into the team.

    + Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues, providing guidance and resolution in line with company policy.

    + Conduct investigations, manage disciplinary processes, and ensure legal and procedural compliance.

    + Build positive relationships with employees and supervisors through regular site visits, visibility, and proactive communication.

    + Interpret and communicate HR policies and programs to managers and employees, ensuring understanding and consistent application.

    + Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and HIPAA.

    + Maintain accurate employee files and records in accordance with company and legal requirements.

    + Support the coordination of employee and leadership training programs (e.g., onboarding, compliance, management skills).

    + Provide coaching to supervisors on handling performance, behavioral, and attendance issues.

    + Assist in the performance review process and help implement performance improvement plans.

    + Manage attendance programs and leave cases, including FMLA and ADA accommodations for employees.

    + Support employee engagement and recognition programs aimed at improving retention and workplace morale.

    + Partner with safety teams and leadership to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

    + Assist in implementing company-wide HR programs and initiatives at the site level.

    + Generate HR reports related to attendance, turnover, headcount, and other workforce data.

    + Ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems and assist with day-to-day administrative HR tasks.

    What You’ll Bring

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

    + 3 years+ of HR Generalist experience; experience in logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing settings strongly preferred.

    + Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FLSA).

    + Experience supporting recruiting efforts and managing entry-level hiring preferred.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

    + Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with HRIS systems a plus.

    + Must be able to travel weekly to warehouse and/or transportation sites (valid driver's license required).

    + Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
