    If this description speaks to you, continue reading about the opportunity of full time Groundskeeper at St. John's Meadows. Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm/ flexibility needed during snow removal months.

    Position Summary:

    Assist the grounds crew with the care and upkeep of the grounds at St. John’s Meadows and Brickstone

    Responsibilities include:

    + C are and upkeep of the lawns and landscaping

    + Care and upkeep of the roads, parking areas and sidewalks including snow removal and ice control

    + Empty outdoor trash containers and keep trash and other debris picked up around the grounds

    + Maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles in proper condition

    + Regular scheduled fleet maintenance on all vehicles

    + Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned

    + Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; possess a valid NYS driver’s license

     

    Able and willing to learn to operate lawn and snow and ice control equipment; able to work with and take direction from others and to learn and improve weaknesses; self-motivated with the initiative to undertake and efficiently complete assigned tasks; good customer service skills

    Physical Requirements:

    Walking, lifting, kneeling, shoveling, bending and climbing ladders - operating machinery in varied weather

    Exposure to Conditions:

    Working in extreme weather conditions; operating lawn and snow removal

     

    equipment; exposed to dirt, dust, grease, oil, chemicals and noise; working on machinery; climbing ladders
