The anticipated pay range for this role is as follows: $60k/yr - $90k/yr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented **Senior Analyst** to support and optimize our **US domestic ground transportation** operations. This role will focus on leveraging analytics, market intelligence, and performance metrics to improve service levels, reduce costs, and support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of freight transportation, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Core Responsibilities:

+ Analyze transportation network performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, carrier utilization, and exception rates.

+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, distribution, customer service) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs) to identify and implement process improvements.

+ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to drive visibility into carrier performance, spend trends, and service gaps.

+ Support annual freight procurement activities, including RFP analysis, rate benchmarking, and carrier selection recommendations.

+ Provide data-driven insights and scenario modeling to support strategic transportation initiatives (mode shift, route optimization, cost reduction).

+ Partner with IT or BI teams to enhance transportation data integration and reporting capabilities.

+ Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., DOT, FMCSA), and market dynamics impacting domestic transportation.

+ Conduct root cause analysis of service failures and work with carriers to develop corrective action plans.

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for transportation costs.

Qualifying Expereince:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

+ 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics, with a focus on US ground transportation (parcel, LTL, truckload).

+ Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).

+ Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP TM, Manhattan, MercuryGate) is highly desirable.

+ Solid understanding of carrier operations, freight rate structures, and transportation regulations.

+ Ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, actionable insights.

+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.

+ Self-starter with strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
