Description
SUMMARY
This person will design, implement, and oversee education and training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff, with a focus on customer service excellence. This role will be responsible for new employee onboarding, staff retraining and development, ongoing compliance education, and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for hospital-wide customer service and engagement standards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
Training & Education Program Development
+ Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules on customer service, communication, and patient experience.
+ Design onboarding programs for new employees to ensure seamless integration and understanding of hospital culture and expectations.
+ Create and update mandatory education courses (e.g., HIPAA, infection control, patient safety, cultural sensitivity).
+ Incorporate adult learning principles and interactive techniques into course design.
Ongoing Education & Retraining
+ Conduct regular touch-bases and refresher trainings for existing staff to maintain service quality.
+ Identify staff development needs through feedback, surveys, observations, or performance reviews.
+ Collaborate with department leaders to tailor training based on team-specific needs.
Program Management & Compliance
+ Ensure education programs align with state/federal regulations, hospital accreditation standards, and internal policies.
+ Maintain accurate training records and reports for audits and compliance tracking.
+ Partner with HR and Compliance to monitor mandatory education completion rates.
Content Creation & SME Support
+ Develop engaging training content using multimedia tools (slides, videos, interactive software).
+ Act as the subject matter expert for customer service training within the organization.
+ Stay current on best practices in healthcare education, service excellence, and adult learning methodologies.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s degree in Education, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
+ Minimum 3 years of experience training/education.
+ Demonstrated experience in instructional design and employee development.
+ Past experience (or education) working with all age groups

+ Strong verbal communication skills with prevalent professional demeanor
+ Outstanding customer service skills
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and adhere to HIPAA standards
+ Ability to work independently
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong organizational and project management abilities.
