    LOB Specific Summary:

    This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering high-impact technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer applications, align technical solutions to business objectives, and to ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards and compliance requirements. Also responsible to ensure that the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall platform with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

    Job Description:

    This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

    Responsibilities:

    + Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery

    + Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality

    + Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt

    + Guides the team on work breakdown and execution

    + Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria

    + Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team

    + Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

    + Feature Ownership: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of enterprise features across front-end, back-end, and data layers.

    + Team Leadership: Mentor and guide engineers within a cross-functional Agile team, setting technical direction and ensuring engineering excellence.

    + Technical Execution: Design and develop performant, resilient, and secure applications utilizing microservices architecture using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, databases and REST APIs; ensure quality through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into actionable solutions.

    + Cloud & Data Strategy: Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions (Azure/AWS), ensure data consistency and governance through robust metadata and data quality frameworks.

    + Innovation: Champion new tools, patterns, and engineering practices to enhance agility and system scalability.

    + Risk & Compliance Alignment: Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and enterprise risk frameworks, particularly within the operational risk domain.

    + Delivery Accountability: Manage priorities, timelines, dependencies, and risks across features; deliver on business outcomes through transparent metrics and KPIs.

    + Reporting: Provides project status updates to senior leadership, including risks, watch items and remediation strategies

    Required Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of full stack software engineering experience.

    + 5+ years in technology leadership roles within financial services.

    + Proven track record of delivering full-stack solutions in highly regulated environments.

    + Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, and front-end frameworks (Angular/React).

    + Demonstrated competence in designing solutions and developing low level design specifications for implementation

    + Strong background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.

    + Deep knowledge of data governance, regulatory reporting, and enterprise-scale application development.

    + Proficiency in Agile methodologies, DevOps pipelines, and secure SDLC practices(and familiar with SAFe Agile Practices)..

    + Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to align technology initiatives with strategic business goals.

    + Strong analytical skills

    + Flexible to learn and work on new technologies

    + Should be able to independently work through implementation (along with taking care of Release Management)

    + Coordinating with Product Owners and other teams are required - good interpersonal skills and communication skills are needed

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Prior experience in building platforms for regulatory compliance, consent order commitments, or operational risk systems.

    + Familiarity with AI/ML process automation in document ingestion or risk analytics.

    + Past delivery of modernization and migration initiatives from legacy systems to cloud.
