LOB Specific Summary:
This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within the regulatory space of Global Regulatory Reporting Data across Liquidity (2052a reporting data), Basel IV Regulatory compliance, CCAR stress testing compliance as well as firm critical regulatory efforts such as Fundamental Review of The Trading Book (FRTB) and Finance Regulatory Reporting (FRR). The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the technical leads and Product Owners to transform and deliver new innovative solutions to handle large volumes of data in the DataConnect platform which plays a central role across Finance, Treasury, Risk and is essential to those business day to day operations. The right candidate will be responsible for leading application development to support the current and target process along with transformational centric activities around design assessment, multi-component integration, etc.
Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.
Responsibilities:
+ Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
+ Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
+ Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
+ Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
+ Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
+ Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
+ Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
+ Knowledge of Technology (Java, Hadoop, Spark), and Domain (Data integration, Finance data management, Basel and other regulatory requirements) and Process (Change mgmt., Release mgmt., Team/scrum mgmt.)
+ Manage and drive teams of functional analyst, feature leads and QA members ensuring alignment among functional requirement, technical solution and quality test cases/coverage.
+ Cross-functional proficiency in capital management, treasury, risk and tax functions of a financial institute
+ Lead end-to-end the functional team for large scale software development initiative from conception and architecture design to delivery and maintenance, ensuring alignment with program objectives
+ Guide multi-disciplinary teams (backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data engineering) through the entire lifecycle from requirement, design, solutioning and testing
+ Act as the bridge between technical teams and business leaders/managers providing direction while ensuring that the technical solutions are innovative scalable as per banks standards and compliance processes
+ Work with data sourcing to source and validate data completeness from acquisition to report delivery
+ Function as an SME on the E2E Forecasting and Aggregation platform(s) in various capacities and product development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years in software development and 5+ years’ experience in a financial institution as a functional/business analyst
+ Experienced in the design and build of Java, Oracle and Hadoop based technology stack
+ Skilled in using Tableau, developing and understanding Stored-Procedures, ETL Tools
+ Working knowledge of Capital, Liquidity and Funding systems
+ Understanding of the development lifecycle to ensure the designs are practical adopted by the delivery teams
+ Hands on with UI debugging, API testing, developing functional use cases for QA and Tech team
+ Forecasting & Strategic Planning experience from an Investment Bank or a Financial Services Firm
+ Model execution for Baseline Stress Projections & Reporting
+ Proficiency to talk in functional & data terms to clients and the stakeholders
+ Leadership skills to manage ad-hoc analysis or design deep dives
