General Responsibilities:
The St. Louis office is looking for a NEPA Specialist to conduct field studies required to complete categorical exclusions, EAs, and EIS documentation under the NEPA process for a number of public sector clients. Will also assist with wetland delineation and wildlife surveys as needed for a variety of public and private sector clients, and will prepare applicable permit applications, risk assessments and technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
+ Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
+ May devise new approaches to problems encountered.
+ May serve as a project team leader and mentor junior level scientists.
+ Performs assessments including wetland and listed species evaluations.
+ May attend client and regulatory agency meetings.
+ Responsible for developing written proposals to clients.
+ Evaluates complex field data and assembles in written reports.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
+ Natural Resources experience in Missouri required.
+ MODOT project experience preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
