Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate

About the Role

Amergis Staffing is hiring a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in Atascadero, CA. This full-time, school-based position begins August 4, 2025, and offers a rewarding opportunity to provide individualized instruction and foster inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

+ Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learners

+ Provide small-group and individualized instruction

+ Monitor student progress and adjust interventions

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

+ Valid California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate

+ Minimum of one year of classroom experience preferred

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB clearance and health certificate (per state/district requirements)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
