    The opportunity

     

    Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a part-time Overnight Security Officer to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. As a Security Guard, you will work with our night auditor to ensure the security of our property and guests.     $15.00 - $17.00 / hour

    What will you do?

     

    + Oversee the protection and safety of company assets, patrons, and team members

    + Enforce all company, department, and organizational policies and procedures and report incidents

    + Observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity

    + Fill out departmental log forms, verify that all paperwork is complete and turned in

    + Assist with fires, wind storms, floods, blizzards, evacuations, and other emergencies as directed

    + Provide security for special functions

    + Light cleaning assignments

    + Snow removal during the winter months

    + Operates motor vehicle as necessary

    More about you

    + At least 18 years of age

    + Basic math skills including addition and subtraction

    + Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill

    + Ability to work in fast-paced environment

    + Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events

    + No experience required

    + Must have a valid drivers license.

    Physical requirements

    + The ability to see, hear, walk, run, sit, squat, bend, reach and grasp objects throughout the shift in all weather conditions

    + Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds
