    Job Summary:

    Maintenance of the electrical distribution mapping system, using Corporation specified software\. Provide assistance in the ongoing development and refining of an AM/FM/GIS system\. Assist with technical support of the associated mapping and staking software packages\.

    Key Responsibilities:

    99. Completes all redline/as built changes of overhead and underground service staking sheets for posting to GIS, insuring proper connectivity\.

    99. Completes all redlines/as built changes for pole attachments and transfers staking sheets for posting to GIS\.

    99. Completes all redlines/as built changes for temporary staking sheets for posting to GIS\.

    99. Completes all Light Maintenance Orders for posting to GIS

    99. Assists in assigning locations

    99. Prepares presentation quality AutoCAD Method of Service drawings for marketing presentations\.

    99. Assist the engineering and planning department in the development of long and short\-range work plans by providing the necessary mapping support for those plans\.

    99. Respond to special data retrieval and compilation requests\.

    99. Assist consultants and software vendors with configuration, installation, testing and updating of custom software applications used for mapping and staking, and other data collection\.

    99. Provide guidance and assistance for other departments including training for procedure implementation and changes\.

    99. Works with contractors and GreyStone personnel to integrate additional data into the ESRI GIS system\.

    99. Assist GIS Data Specialist and others on projects when needed\.

    Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Requires High School Diploma \.Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in GIS, Engineering, or Drafting preferred\.

    + Three years work experience mapping in a utility or similar field is required\.

    + Prefer a mapping, surveying, or geography background\.

    + A thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Map and ESRI is required\.

    + Requires a working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office\.

    + Knowledge of electrical distribution and utility construction is required\.

    + Database management skills are required\.

    + Knowledge of Futura Staking software preferred\.

    + Must satisfactorily pass GreyStone’s employment physical and required drug screens\.

    Physical Demands \(if applicable\):

    Normal office conditions\. Requires the flexibility and ability to work during disaster situations\. Continuous use of personal computers requires intensive hand\-eye coordination and the ability to maintain a high degree of attention to detail and concentration for extended periods of time\.
