+ This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled maintenance work for the patient and family apartments.
+ The incumbent performs general maintenance work to keep the buildings clean and in good working order, and ensures that the apartments are fully functional at all times.
+ Additionally, the incumbent works with housekeeping to ensure that all laundry and carpets are clean.
+ This position has no responsibility for providing patient care.

Responsibilities
+ Ensures that all plumbing, appliances, and furnishings are in good working condition.
+ Replaces light bulbs in common areas as well as in the apartments.
+ Removes trash from the building's exterior common, courtyard areas, and the parking lot.
+ Cleans carpets on a regular basis.
+ Acts as a liaison to vendors when repairs need to be completed.
+ Maintains the landscape around the buildings through planting, fertilizing, plant removal, tree trimming, lawn mowing and leaf removal.
+ Power washes the driveway and courtyard as needed.
+ Removes snow and ice ensuring that sidewalks and stairways are always safe.
+ Sorts, washes, dries and transports laundry to the appropriate area.
+ Transports patients and families to and from the hospitals as needed.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
+ Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
+ Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
+ Ability to follow specific directions.
+ Demonstrated understanding of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating, air conditioning and welding.
+ Ability to operate machines and tools necessary to complete tasks.

+ Valid Utah Driver's license.
+ Two (2) years of building maintenance experience.
+ Previous landscaping experience.

+ This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects. This position is subject to both environmental conditions such as heat and cold while working outside. It is subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals.
