General Summary:

+ · Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates educational activities related to nursing clinical areas across the continuum of care.

+ · Serves as a strategic consultant for nursing clinical performance initiatives to create, implement, and evaluate multi-faceted competency-based programs, delivery mechanisms, and clinical performance.

+ · Collaborates with leaders and staff to assess nursing educational needs and competencies.

+ · Develops, implements, and evaluates nursing and clinical educational plans/programs.

+ · Utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.

+ · Consults on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs and performance processes that support core nursing and clinical competency across the organization.

+ · Manages performance and competency standards for inter-professional programs to support practice at the highest extent of licensure.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.

+ Required professional licensure at time of hire.

PREFERENCES:

+ 5 years of acute care experience

+ BSN highly preferred

+ Teaching experience preferred

+ Emergency Room experience

+ 72 hours of pay with rare weekends and an occasional off shift.
