    OVERVIEW:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities/HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a professional with 15+ years of experience in managing R&D (Research & facilities and ensuring compliance with HSSE regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for all employees.

     

    The Facilities/HSSE Advisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of facilities R&D operations and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) regulations. This role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting inspections, providing training, and managing emergency response plans. The Facilities/HSSE Advisor will work closely with various departments to integrate HSSE considerations into all operations and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Frequent with Division Heads, other supervisory personnel, and departmental staff to develop information, review safety plans, and coordinate ongoing HSSE efforts.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

    + Develop, implement, and maintain HSSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    + Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

    + Provide training and guidance to employees on HSSE practices and procedures.

    + Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

    + Collaborate with other departments to ensure that HSSE considerations are integrated into all aspects of operations.

    + Manage emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.

    + Maintain accurate records of HSSE activities and incidents.

    + Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or a related field.

    + 15+ years of experience in facilities management and HSSE roles.

    + Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations and standards.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    + Certification in HSSE (e.g., CSP, CHMM, RCRA, OSHA) is preferred.
