Job Summary:
Leads and coordinates assigned projects and continuous improvement activities. Utilizes engineering concepts and lean practices to improve efficiency throughout the facility and business. Individual will work closely with all functional areas of the company. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing, project management, and continuous improvement. Possessing excellent communication skills is dependable and accountable, comfortable working in a diverse high paced matrix organization.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in an engineering or technical discipline or equivalent from four-year college or university with applicable years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions:
+ Manage various types of projects from CAPEX to scrap reduction to process optimization. Organizing the team, coordinating tasks, overseeing timelines.
+ Develop Associates through teamwork, projects, coaching, and leadership, and training.
+ Facilitate project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Track actions and hold teammates accountable to completion dates.
+ Motivate plant management and teams for further implementation in their area of responsibility.
+ Frequently report status of projects using red, green, yellow visual system.
+ Track and report out project results and lessons learned.
+ Coordinate cross functional plant meetings for projects as assigned.
+ Support plant production floor layout reviews to determine if any changes are needed.
+ Organize, document, monitor and verify operations has addressed all tooling, equipment and resource needs to start production.
+ Complete capacity studies as needed to determine if current equipment is sufficient.
+ Assist the plant with planning, coordinating and monitoring facility needs with new equipment installs
+ Coordinates production initiatives related to change management and root-cause analysis for implementation of changes/corrective actions
+ Act as the champion for annual cost reduction activity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
+ Strong data analytics skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications.
+ Extensive working knowledge of lean systems and tools.
+ Project management experience required.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast paced and varying environment.
+ Ability to work well with others in a team environment and to train others.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
+ Ability to apply problem solving tools and methodology to a variety of manufacturing and business process issues.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to complete statistical analysis.
+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with rubber manufacturing, CNC programming/machining and machine building/automation is preferred, but not required.
+ Certificates in Six Sigma or Lean Practices are preferred but not required.

+ Follow quality environmental policies and have knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001.
+ Wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety toed shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.
+ Frequently walk long distances, sit and use hands to handle parts and equipment
+ Frequently reach with arms and hands
+ Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
