Responsibilities:

+ Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal to create ductwork components and fittings

+ Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine ductwork layout and dimensions

+ Install ductwork, ensuring proper connections and alignment for optimal airflow

+ Identify and repair leaks, damage, or performance issues in existing duct systems

+ Adhere to safety regulations and procedures during all phases of work

+ Work with project managers, other installers, and clients to ensure timely and successful installations

+ Safely handle and dispose of materials, including sheet metal and refrigerants, in compliance with environmental regulations

+ Complete necessary paperwork, including timesheets and material inventories

+ Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and metal fabrication equipment

+ Understanding of how different components of HVAC systems work together

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

+ Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with ductwork and HVAC systems

+ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various positions

+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients

+ Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations

Qualifications:

+ E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S.

+ Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites required

+ In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area

+ Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems

+ Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site

+ EPA Universal Certification is a plus
