    Logistics Coordinator will provide strategic support to the operations, shipping, and sales teams. Oversee cycle of order fulfillment to final shipment to customer. Position will also ship/receive and deliver raw materials and accessories to the manufacturing floor.

    • 1-2 years experience in a similar shipping/receiving position.

    Job Title:

    Logistics Coordinator

    City:

    Atchison

    Key Job Elements:

    • Call in, bail out, and release railcars. Work with customer on ordering railcars and confirm jobsites for delivery;

    • Sort sales orders, configure loads, set up truck schedules;

    • Assist external contractors and truck drivers with shipping paperwork;

    • Monitor work-in-process at packing lines, print tags as needed;

    • Communicate with various departments as needed to create comprehensive schedules for accounting, sales, and shipping;

    • Identify and solve problems or discrepancies with parts and materials using established procedures;

    • Support Receiving Dept. and cover absences;

    • Assist with cycle counts and inventory control;

    • Receive purchased items and enter into accounting system;

    • Operate forklift, overhead crane, and other machines as needed to complete duties;

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent;

    • 1-2 years shipping/receiving experience preferred;

    • Proficiency with PC applications including MS Office Suite;

    • Proven interpersonal communications skills; verbal and written;

    • Ability to interact with employees and contractors in a professional manner;

    • Forklift/overhead crane/skid steer/railcar unloading skills preferred;

    • Reliable attendance is required.
