This full-time rotational program gives early-career engineers strategic exposure to multiple disciplines and market segments. Over two years, participants will complete 8(eight) rotations that build cross-functional knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a strong foundation in operational excellence, innovation, and customer-focused execution.
Year 1 – Foundational Engineering Understanding
**Rotation 1:** Engineering Group (0–6 Months)
+ Senior Engineer assigned as mentor for the GEDP duration
+ Understanding of Engineering Principles and Processes
+ Understanding of Engineering Standards and Regulations
+ Process improvement & Lean application
+ Equipment and tooling support
+ Production planning and quality collaboration
+ End of phase report
**Rotation 2:** Product Design / R&D (6–9 Months)
+ Engineering design and modeling
+ R\&D collaboration on product innovation
+ Exposure to technical documentation and testing
+ End of phase report
**Rotation 3:** Quality & Continuous Improvement (9–12 Months)
+ Root cause analysis & corrective action
+ Regulatory and compliance awareness (NQA-1 for Nuclear, AS9100 for Aerospace)
+ Continuous Improvement projects and metrics
+ End of phase report
Year 2 – Strategic Business Rotations
**Rotation 4:** Order Management (12-15 Months)
+ Project/Product lifecycle tracking
+ Order processing and Inventory Management
+ Shipping and tracking orders
+ Understanding of Payment Processing
+ Customer liaison support
+ End of phase report
**Rotation 5:** Commercial / Business Development / Sales (15–17 Months)
+ Customer interface & technical proposals
+ Exposure to pricing strategy, bid packages, and market intelligence
+ Participation in cross-market segment initiatives (e.g., energy vs. defense vs. nuclear)
+ End of phase report
**Rotation 6:** Synergy Secondment (17-18 Months)
+ Onsite Secondment at another CW site (US or UK based)
+ Understanding of cross working collaborations
+ Exposure to wider Engineering understanding
+ End of phase report
**Rotation 7:** Return to Engineering Group (18-23 Months)
+ Consolidation of prior learning and development
+ Focus on future engineering function discipline
**Rotation 8:** Final Capstone Assignment (23–24 Months)
+ Strategic project within preferred market or functional area
+ Mentorship from a senior engineering or operations leader
+ Executive-level presentation on project outcomes and business impact
Market Segment Exposure Includes:
+ **Nuclear:** Regulatory-driven systems, NQA-1 documentation, legacy modernization
+ **Defense:** Mission-critical component design and integration
+ **Aerospace:** Safety and precision manufacturing at scale
+ **Energy:** Rotating equipment, control systems, and aftermarket support
+ **Industrial:** Custom engineered solutions for process industries
Program Features:
+ One-on-one mentor and program advisor
+ Monthly learning & development sessions
+ Quarterly check-ins with leadership and HR
+ Optional site-to-site or international placement
+ Strong pipeline to permanent engineering, operations, or technical management roles
Ideal Candidate:
+ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering
+ Strong interest in cross-industry exposure (including nuclear)
+ Curious, adaptable, and eager to grow into a leadership role
+ Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
