    •** **Hospice Physician (Part-Time – 24 Hours/Week)

    **Location:** Southeast Michigan

    •** **Position Purpose

     

    In alignment with the **Trinity Health At Home (THAH)** mission, the Hospice Physician provides inpatient medical care for hospice patients requiring hospitalization for symptom management, respite, or medical oversight. This role is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to continuous learning in hospice and palliative care.

     

    •** **What You’ll Do

    + Deliver expert symptom management and compassionate care to hospice patients.

    + Conduct face-to-face visits for admissions, recertifications, and general inpatient care.

    + Ensure timely and accurate documentation—completed at the time of visit or within 48 hours.

    + Collaborate with the Medical Director, interdisciplinary team, and leadership to ensure continuity of care.

    + Participate in educational in-services and contribute to staff development.

    + Provide on-call coverage as scheduled, with advance notice for absences.

    + Serve as a resource and educator to hospital staff and the broader care team.

    •** **Minimum Qualifications

    + M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice in the state of Michigan.

    + Active medical staff membership with admitting privileges at a hospital.

    + Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during work hours.

    + Completion of Trinity Health At Home hospice physician orientation within 6 months of hire.

    + Strong alignment with Trinity Health’s mission, values, and philosophy of care.
