• 1st Shift Janitor/Floor Cleaner

    Production Floor Cleane** r: 1st shift/ **Danfoss

     

    The floor cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all floor surfaces on the production floor. This role ensures a clean working environment by removing debris, dust, oils, and other materials that could pose safety or quality risks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and take pride in maintaining high standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform routine floor cleaning duties across the production area, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming

    + Operate industrial floor cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers, walk-behind sweepers, and floor buffers

    + Monitor and promptly clean up sills, oil drips, or material accumulation to maintain a hazard-free work area

    + Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules in coordination with production and EHS teams

    + Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with safety protocols

    + Perform basic preventive maintenance checks on cleaning equipment and report malfunctions

    + Adhere strictly to all Danfoss safety procedures, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout where applicable

    + Collaborate with the other maintenance or production personnel as needed to support plant cleanliness and readiness

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning is a plus

    + Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively

    + Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks while standing or walking for extended periods

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

    + Dependable and punctual and strong work ethic

    + Commitment to safety and quality standards

    **Work Environment** :

    + Work is performed exclusively on the production floor in an active manufacturing environment

    + Exposure to machinery, forklifts, hydraulic fluids, and varying temperatures
