    Job Description:

    Our client in the federal contracting space is hiring for an Information System Security Manager. This is a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity onsite in Greater Boston.

     

    As an ISSM, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity compliance efforts and audits related to DoD information systems. You’ll collaborate with internal technical teams, government representatives, and security stakeholders to maintain ongoing system authorization and support secure operations throughout the lifecycle of each system.

    Required:

    + Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).

    + 5+ years of experience in information system security, preferably supporting DoD programs.

    + In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity policies (e.g., DoDI 8510.01, 8500.01, CNSSI 1253).

    + Hands-on experience with eMASS, ACAS, and SCAP tools.

    + Experience managing ATO lifecycles and supporting security audits or inspections.

    + Strong technical understanding of Windows/Linux systems, networking, and security tools.

    + Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

    + Experience working in a cleared facility and with classified systems.

    + Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMMC, and insider threat programs.

    + Prior experience coordinating with DSS, DCMA, or DoD agencies.

    Certifications (Required or obtainable within 6 months):

    + CISSP, CISM, CAP, GSLC, or equivalent DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification
