Description
Amazon is seeking an exceptional BI Engineer to join the BuilderWorks organization. This person will own the production and delivery of reports, dashboards, and analyses to support key initiatives across the organization.

Our environment is deadline driven and fast paced and therefore requires detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable interacting with multiple teams (business and technical).
Key job responsibilities
• Design and implement BI solutions to transform data into actionable insights for Senior Leadership
• Build and optimize data models, ETL pipelines, and complex queries using various technologies (SQL, Python, Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL)
• Create scalable visualization tools and dashboards
• Drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Operations) to solve complex business problems
• Collaborate with business customers and stakeholders to understand and document business requirements
• Manage and execute entire projects from requirements gathering to final implementation
• Create and maintain KPIs aligned with business goals and track performance metrics
• Leverage Generative AI technologies to develop intelligent Q&A systems and automated insight generation
• Create and maintain AI-powered analytics solutions to provide real-time business insights
About the team
Our team is a central analytics team within the BuilderWorks organization. We seek to amplify and accelerate application of data science and generative AI within BuilderWorks engineering systems as well as deliver actionable metrics, insights, and reports to BW service owners, CCI owners, and various stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
