Description

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility in Waverly, Iowa. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgets, and driving cost efficiency. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, accounting expertise, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements on a regular basis.

• Oversee the development and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

• Analyze cost variances and purchase price variances, providing recommendations to improve profitability.

• Lead the preparation and execution of the annual physical inventory process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and cost management.

• Ensure effective use of Epicor or similar ERP systems for financial tracking and reporting.

• Support decision-making processes with detailed financial analysis and forecasting.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or financial management within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in using Epicor or similar ERP systems for financial operations.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting and variance analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and monitor budgets effectively.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and audits.

• Familiarity with annual physical inventory processes and controls.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
