Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team in Santa Maria, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing outstanding support to employees with payroll-related inquiries. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization’s success by maintaining accurate and efficient payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.

• Administer payroll services, including handling garnishments and tax-related matters.

• Maintain detailed payroll records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

• Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, providing clear and thorough assistance.

• Utilize payroll software to manage and streamline payroll operations effectively.

• Collaborate with Human Resources to address payroll-related issues and ensure seamless operations.

• Monitor and implement updates to payroll systems as needed to comply with legal requirements.

• Prepare reports and documentation to support audits and other financial reviews.

• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.

• Support additional payroll-related tasks as required. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll administration and processing, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and garnishment handling.

• Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Famous software is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

• Effective organizational and time management skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is required.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly.

• Experience in Human Resources or the agriculture industry is advantageous.
