Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing and coding processes for healthcare services, contributing to the efficiency and success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation and submission of medical claims to insurance providers.

• Verify accuracy of billing information and correct any discrepancies.

• Perform charge entry tasks with attention to detail and adherence to compliance regulations.

• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper coding of procedures and diagnoses.

• Follow up on denied or rejected claims to facilitate resolution and payment.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing and coding standards.

• Ensure timely processing of payments and handle patient billing inquiries.

• Generate reports to track billing performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Support system updates or transitions related to billing processes, if applicable. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with charge entry and claims processing procedures.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare compliance standards.

• Proficiency in using medical billing software and related tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

• Willingness to adapt to new systems or processes as needed.
