Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team in Burr Ridge, Illinois. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation, review, and processing of loan documentation for various types of commercial loans. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review loan documents for commercial loans, ensuring compliance with approvals and securing the Bank’s collateral and lien position.

• Coordinate with bankers and borrowers to obtain required documentation, such as organizational documents, trust agreements, surveys, and title documents.

• Examine title commitments, insurance policies, and loan agreements to ensure all conditions of loan approval are met.

• Schedule and manage loan closings, including ordering title work, filing UCCs, and verifying all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Assemble and distribute closing packages, collaborating with customers, bankers, and title companies to ensure timely and proper loan closings.

• Serve as a peer reviewer for loan documentation prepared by other team members or external counsel.

• Reconcile loans for boarding, ensuring all fees and disbursements are accurate and accounted for, including legal fees and vendor payments.

• Handle the disbursement process for loan closings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.

• Review executed loan documents post-closing to identify and resolve any discrepancies.

• Confirm the perfection of liens on collateral prior to loan funding. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial loan documentation or a related field.

• Proficiency in mortgage closing, processing, and loan origination systems, including Encompass.

• Strong knowledge of UCC filings, title commitments, and lien perfection processes.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple loan closings simultaneously.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, bankers, and external partners.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve closing-related issues.

• Familiarity with trust agreements, surveys, and other due diligence items associated with commercial loans.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
