Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to join a dynamic team in Naples, FL. This role will primarily focus on managing accounts payable, job costing, preparing lien releases, handling notices to owners, and serving as a key liaison between accounting and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Accounts Payables: Manage supplier invoices and payments while ensuring compliance with company procedures and project budgets. Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.

+ Job Costing: Accurately track and allocate expenditures to specific projects. Provide timely reports to project managers for budgeting and financial forecasting purposes.

+ Lien Releases: Prepare and process lien release documentation in compliance with state laws and company policies. Ensure timely submissions to protect the company’s legal and financial interests.

+ Notices to Owners: Execute notices to owners consistently and accurately, ensuring adherence to industry requirements.

+ Project Communication: Partner closely with project managers to communicate relevant financial updates and resolve any accounting-related issues impacting project performance.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.

+ Proficiency in accounts payable processes and job costing.

+ Familiarity with lien release documentation and notices to owners in Florida.

+ Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project managers and internal/external stakeholders.

+ Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
