    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Warrenville, IL. The Accounting Clerk will support the finance team with day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger data entry.     Responsibilities:

    + Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

    + Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly financial closings

    + Maintain and update accounting records, files, and documentation

    + Assist with preparing financial reports and spreadsheets

    + Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding billing and payments

    + Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

    + Support audits and other accounting projects as needed

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred)

    + 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite)

    + Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

    + Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in both A/P and A/R functions

    + Familiarity with ERP systems

    + Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
