    We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Manager of SOX Compliance to lead our organization's efforts in maintaining and improving Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. This role requires a proven ability to navigate the complexities of transitioning a company from private to public status, as well as a strong understanding of internal controls and SOX frameworks. The Manager of SOX Compliance will collaborate with various functions, including finance, operations, and audit, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and the highest standards of compliance and control.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of SOX compliance programs across the organization.

    • Oversee the design, documentation, and testing of internal controls to ensure alignment with SOX requirements and industry best practices.

    • Spearhead compliance activities for organizations transitioning from private to public, including IPO readiness and the establishment of public-company controls.

    • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors during SOX-related audits and reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

    • Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement while maintaining proper control structures.

    • Train and educate team members and cross-functional stakeholders on SOX compliance standards and procedures.

    • Stay current on regulatory and industry updates related to SOX compliance to ensure ongoing adaptability.

    • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with business unit leaders to ensure controls are implemented effectively across all departments.

    • Build comprehensive reporting dashboards to track the progress and status of SOX compliance initiatives.

    • Monitor changes in financial reporting processes and systems to address risks and ensure compliance practices are updated accordingly.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.

    • Minimum of 6+ years of management experience in internal controls, audit, and SOX compliance within publicly listed organizations.

    • Proven success in supporting or leading a company's transition from private to public status and preparing the internal control environment for IPO compliance.

    • Strong understanding of SOX Section 302 and Section 404 compliance requirements, COSO framework, and risk assessment methodology.

    • High proficiency in working with financial systems and compliance tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workiva, audit management software).
