    A small but growing non-profit has partnered with Robert Half. in their search for a staff accountant! This role offers an excellent opportunity to support critical accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities and working closely with the Controller on any accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and bring strong organizational skills to the role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.

    • Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

    • Handle cash applications and ensure proper allocation of funds.

    • Generate and review billing statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.

    • Maintain detailed and organized financial records for auditing and reporting purposes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. (Will consider AS in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years accounting experience).

    • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

    • Strong understanding of cash applications and billing procedures.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

    • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
