Groundskeeper - Full Time - Days

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Engineering Supervisor, the groundskeeper assumes responsibility and accountability for performing all out door clean-up and service functions at both hospital and hospital owned properties. Work performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Flexible working hours and winter on-call are required.

Core Job Responsibilities

+ Ability to keep lawns and landscape in good condition by routine cutting of grass

+ Nurture all flowers and shrubs with associated projects

+ Complete annual mulching and weeding

+ Complete assigned rounds when required

+ Perform snow removal when required

+ Perform salting / sanding as required with special attention given to building entrances.

+ Provide service for moving equipment and / or materials throughout network

+ Monitor fuel storage of gas & diesel used by network vehicles

+ Keep equipment and vehicles clean and presentable

+ Perform semi-skilled Carpentry & Painting work

+ Perform parking lot striping and curb painting when required

+ Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

+ Valid New York State driver's license.
