Who We’re Hiring:
Tribble Electric is searching for an entry-level Electrical Estimator to join our team! The Electrical Estimator will assist with estimating commercial and multi-family projects. The Electrical Estimator will determine both potential costs and potential profitability for commercial projects of various sizes and applications. The Electrical Estimator should have experience in the electrical trade or construction estimating.

What You’ll Do:
+ Meet with new and existing customers about potential projects to be estimated.
+ Communicate effectively with customers to make appropriate recommendations to provide solutions for their needs.
+ Identify and build estimates for commercial projects by reviewing and considering the following:
+ Drawings and specifications.
+ Schedule and duration of the project.
+ Material and tools to complete.
+ Labor requirements.
+ Miscellaneous costs associated.
+ Participate in forecasting exercises with Senior Estimators and Project Managers to ensure necessary backlog and desired growth are achieved.
+ Prepare and provide detailed estimates to ensure proper project management can take place.
+ Once a project is awarded, participate in turnover meetings with Project Management and Foremen to relay proper project information, documents and planning to help the project be performed as smoothly as possible.
+ Work with the Project Manager and Purchasing Department on initial buyout of materials, tools, subcontract labor, etc.
+ Assist and/or complete problem solving for any issue that arises due to conflict between scope of work and estimate.
+ Assist Project Manager in verifying scope of work is accurate in contracts before execution.
+ Maintain communication with customer during project and help address questions, concerns or changes needed to foster great relationships.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Able to work on multiple projects at same time while dealing with tight deadlines.
+ Strong mathematical skills are required.
+ Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Strong communication and reading comprehension skills.
+ Knowledge in using computer software and data entry.
+ Willingness to learn using computer based estimating software programs such as Accubid.
+ Willingness to learn how to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, specifications, contracts, schematics, service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, and equipment specifications.
+ Willing to follow established procedures to provide accurate cost estimates.
+ Large and Small commercial project experience is preferred.
+ Basic knowledge of electrical construction is preferred.
+ Good working knowledge of the building construction trades is preferred.
+ Driving Requirements
+ Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
+ Must have positive points on state driving record.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
+ Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
+ All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
+ Physical Requirements
+ Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
+ Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
