    Job Description

    We are seeking a results-driven Manager I – Operations & Maintenance to lead and coordinate maintenance and operations support activities across small to medium-sized industrial contracts or facilities. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in O&M practices, who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering operational excellence and client satisfaction.

     

    • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with client plant managers, conducting regular reviews and maintaining strong, solution-oriented relationships.

    • Operational Oversight: Coordinate and supervise maintenance teams to ensure efficient execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.

    • Contract Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with contract terms and Fluor’s Operating System Requirements

    • Business Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of Site Business Plans, including budget tracking, performance metrics, and utilization reporting.

    • Risk Management: Monitor and assess operational risks, escalating significant issues to senior leadership.

    • Team Development: Support hiring, training, and performance management of staff to foster a high-performing, safety-conscious workforce.

    • Sales Support: Assist in preparing proposals, estimates, and commercial negotiations for new and existing contracts.

    • Continuous Improvement: Apply analytical tools to assess client operations and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    Basic Job Requirements

    • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

    • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance operations and facility management

    • Effective communication and leadership skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Other Job Requirements

    • 4+ years of relevant operations & maintenance experience, or 8+ years if non-degreed

    • Experience managing small-scale O&M projects or facilities

    • Familiarity with capital asset management, CMMS systems, and reliability-centered maintenance

    • Previous project management experience in industrial or commercial plant settings

    • Strong delegation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business field of study preferred with minimum four (4) years of O&M office or site experience and minimum one (1) year experience managing small, less complex O&M sites or projects

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Previous project management experience

    • Ability to delegate

    Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
