Description

Mountain View Co-op is looking for seasonal help during harvest at our grain elevator in Collins, MT. This would be about 6-8 weeks of work with guaranteed overtime hours and pay!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and tools in order to ensure operational readiness, safety, and cleanliness.

+ Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.

+ Load, unload, and move material to and from storage and production areas as needed.

+ Load containers and/or conveyers with product using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels and/or pitchforks.

+ Maintain storage areas to ensure inventory is protected.

+ Practice and encourage workplace safety.

+ Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

+ Establish effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and the general public.

+ Report to work on-time and as scheduled.

+ Operate various equipment for loading and unloading.

+ Read work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

+ Communicate effectively with others in both technical and non-technical terms.

+ Work varied shifts and days as required of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Experience:

+ High School diploma or GED

+ Equipment operation

License/Certification:

+ Forklift Certification or ability to obtain is preferred

+ Valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Montana

Essential Physical Abilities:

+ Clarity of speech and hearing that permits the employee to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

+ Clarity of vision to include; near and far vision, ability to focus while operating equipment, and ability to read printed materials.

+ Manual dexterity that permits the employee to operate equipment, load and unload products, and move products.

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.

+ Ability to walk, stand, and reach for the duration of the shift.

+ Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, and climb.

Working Conditions:

+ Work is generally performed in outdoor and warehouse environments.

+ Duties are required in all weather conditions.

+ Various noise levels are present in the work environment, from low to moderately loud.
