    Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid)

     

    We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of a major banking project. This role requires a strong understanding of core banking systems and the ability to conceptualize and implement solutions based on detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality software aligned with Santander Bank’s best practices.

    Responsibilities:

    + Analyze business and technical requirements to design effective solutions aligned with core banking systems.

    + Develop processes and programs to meet project needs identified during the analysis phase.

    + Perform unit testing and revisions to ensure error-free code and adherence to Santander Bank standards.

    + Design and execute end-to-end tests to validate major deliverables; analyze results and report issues.

    + Review test outcomes with the team and finalize program documentation.

    + Prepare comprehensive documentation to support change management and production deployment.

    + Participate in post-implementation activities, ensuring accurate delivery of project information.

    + Iterate development cycles as needed to meet evolving project requirements.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.

    + Proficiency in:

    + Operating Systems: Linux, Unix

    + Languages: Java, Python, C, JCLs

    + Scripting: Shell Script, PowerShell

    + Database: Oracle

    + Tools: Microfocus, Eclipse

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.

    + Nice to Have: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
