Product Security Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Security Engineer to lead a small team of security engineers within our product development team. This role involves hands-on work and prototyping security features in a lab environment. The successful candidate will have experience in developing security requirements and designs, and they will be responsible for implementing security functionality into workflows and writing security standards for product design.

Responsibilities

+ Lead a team of security engineers to secure and harden products.

+ Prototype security features in a lab environment.

+ Develop security requirements and designs.

+ Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments.

+ Implement security functionality into workflows.

+ Write security standards for product design.

+ Collaborate with cyber-aware clients to develop solutions that meet their needs.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

+ Proficiency in engineering design, vulnerability assessment, and risk assessment.

+ Knowledge of coding principles in Java, C, or C++.

+ Familiarity with NIST and security engineering practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Scripting ability.

+ Experience with DOORS software.

+ Experience in a domain where security is a priority.

Work Environment

This position involves working in both office and lab environments. The initial requirement is to support a client based in Australia, necessitating availability for meetings in the Australian time zone, typically 2-3 days a week, with meetings lasting until 9pm EST. However, there is flexibility to adjust working hours during the week, allowing for Fridays off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.60 - $61.54/hr.
