    Description

    Provides technical assistance to engineers in the areas of electronic testing, planning, and the design and development of electronic control systems for manufacturing machinery.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and assemble electrical systems for automated machinery used in medical electrode manufacturing, including full PLC control systems and robotic integration.

    + Conduct safety assessments of designs and create electrical safety systems for R&D tools and components.

    + Support R&D efforts by interpreting engineering documentation, wiring schematics, procedures, and test setups.

    + Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including sensor configurations, control panel wiring, PLC connections, and general electrical faults.

    + Establish testing protocols and procedures, including the use of oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools, to evaluate complete systems and components under real-world conditions for performance improvement, standardization, and quality assurance.

    + Create electrical designs using schematic capture and other engineering software.

    + Program PLCs using Relay Ladder Logic and related programmable devices; develop HMI interfaces and configure PLC hardware.

    + Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, including PLC code, electrical diagrams, and engineering records.

    + Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical systems within equipment.

    + Perform additional tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Must be capable of fulfilling all listed responsibilities and possess the necessary education, experience, and technical competencies.

    Education & Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (BSEE) with at least five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

    Language Proficiency:

    Ability to read and interpret technical and business documents, including scientific journals, procedures, policies, and legal materials. Must be able to write clearly and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Proficient in applying advanced mathematical concepts to technical problems.

    Analytical Skills:

    Strong problem-solving abilities, including identifying issues, analyzing data, and developing effective solutions.

    Technical Equipment Proficiency:

    Skilled in using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, waveform generators, programmable power supplies, and capable of learning new testing equipment setups.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Frequent use of hands and arms.

    + Must have good depth perception, hearing, speech, and color vision.

    + Ability to lift up to 30 pounds to a height of 3 feet, twice daily.

    + Work Environment:

    + Primarily indoor work with minimal temperature variation and moderate noise levels.

    Additional Skills:

    + Experience with robotic integration and programming in machine design is preferred.

    + Familiarity with Direct Logic, Do-more, and C-more programming platforms.

    + Ability to write technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and maintenance guides.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
