    Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

     

    We are seeking an R&D Technician specializing in powder coating technologies. The technician will support routine experiments, capture and record results, and gain basic knowledge of raw materials. Using lab equipment, the technician will prepare powder samples and perform basic performance testing.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine experiments and document results.

    + Learn and apply basic knowledge of raw materials.

    + Use lab equipment to prepare powder samples.

    + Perform basic performance testing.

    + Maintain an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) to document formulations, processes, and testing data.

    + Utilize software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel for data recording and reporting.

    + Manage time efficiently to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Maintain clean work areas and participate in housekeeping and safety programs.

    + Prepare and test samples according to standards.

    + Follow all Work Instructions, SOPs, and ITMs after proper training.

    + Collaborate with managers and chemists to understand project needs and priorities.

    + Communicate project timelines and results effectively, assisting team members in meeting deadlines.

    + Comply with all safety regulations and company/site-specific safety rules.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Knowledge of laboratory, quality control, chemistry, quality assurance, and coating.

    + Documentation writing skills.

    + Technical understanding of industrial chemistries.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Knowledge of basic math skills.

    + Familiarity with scientific principles, products, and processes.

    + 1-4 years of laboratory experience preferred.

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work in areas with toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials.

    + Tolerate non-toxic paint odors and wear a respirator as required.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.

    + Willingness to travel to other locations, meetings, and seminars.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
