    Maxim Healthcare is hiring an Open Credit Specialist to research payment credits and takes appropriate actions based on type or status.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Research payment credits on accounts to determine status, and takes appropriate action such as sales adjustments and refunds

    + Consults with regional staff and branches prior to issuing refunds

    + Maintains current knowledge of Managed Care and other third party insurance/health plans coverage, billing procedures, coding and policies

    + Contacts payers or patients to obtain appropriate information for refunds

    + Completes required forms to process refunds

    Minimum Requirements:

    + High School degree or equivalent required

    + Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivables within a healthcare or insurance environment preferred

    + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including but not limited to supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills

    + Quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skills

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Web-enabled applications

    + Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities

    + Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well both as part of a team and independently

    + Must present a positive image that reflects well on the organization

    Wage/Salary Information:

    $20.00 per hour, with a $2,000 annual bonus potential
