    Job Title: Senior Interior Designer

    Job Description

    Lead interior design efforts on higher education projects from concept through construction. Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients to develop integrated design solutions. Conduct programming, space planning, FF&E selection, and material specifications. Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence. Participate in client presentations, interviews, and project pitches. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the higher education sector and maintain strong client relationships and industry connections. Stay current with trends in campus design, sustainability, and learning environments.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead design efforts on higher education projects from concept through construction.

    + Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients to develop integrated design solutions.

    + Conduct programming, space planning, FF&E selection, and material specifications.

    + Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of design excellence.

    + Participate in client presentations, interviews, and project pitches.

    + Identify and pursue new business opportunities in higher education.

    + Maintain strong client relationships and industry connections.

    + Stay updated with trends in campus design, sustainability, and learning environments.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.

    + NCIDQ certification required.

    + 8+ years of professional experience with a strong portfolio in higher education.

    + Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.

    + Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.

    + Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Passion for higher education or healthcare environments.

    + Strong interest in business development.

    + WELL accreditation is a plus.

    + Experience in project management and interior design.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $50.48/hr.
